New study on the potential for agri-PV in Swiss agriculture

In this new study by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) of January 2024, a new theoretical total potential of 323 TWh/y for agri-PV in Switzerland was calculated, and the potential covers 56 % of the agricultural land available in Switzerland in 2022 (excluding grazing areas). These high numbers show that agri-PV systems could be used as supplements to PV systems on roof surfaces and other existing infrastructures.
